About Me

Hi, I’m Brittany

Artist. Mama. Doula.

My big passion: birth the way God designed.

My journey as a birthworker began in Houston back in 2017. In 2021, we moved to Austin, where I’ve continued to serve mothers through pregnancy and birth as a doula and childbirth educator. I get to raise my family right where the vibrant city meets the serene hills - I absolutely love it here.

Quality time is my love language, so when I’m with you, I am fully present and dedicated to your needs. I navigate overwhelming situations with grace and flexibility, keeping a calm demeanor and guiding you through unexpected moments without causing unnecessary tension. I see birth as an intricate, beautiful puzzle, and I’m here to help you see the bigger picture when you’re in the thick of it.

My Story

I walked into the hospital for my first birth with excitement, preparation, and confidence—until my labor stalled and my birth plan crumbled. I felt a profound loss of control, caught in a whirlwind of Pitocin-induced terror that rendered me speechless. I exhausted myself in the only position I could bear, unable to convey to my husband or nurse how they could help.

That experience left me both empowered by what my body could endure and determined to seek a different birthing journey for myself and every woman I knew.

When I became pregnant again, fear of another traumatic experience gripped me. I took control, studying physiological birth with the fervor of a scholar, training to be my own doula. Through study, exercises, and deep conversations with my birth team, I regained trust in my instincts and my body. My labor stalled once more, requiring intervention to get it going, but once it did, I surrendered to my contractions and experienced a miraculous, pain-free labor and birth. With no drugs in my system and not a single push, I breathed out a perfect little baby as my doctor rushed into the room—a complete transformation from my first experience.

I then dreamed of a final birth at home, in my own bed, with my children sleeping peacefully nearby. But when my little rainbow boy seemed determined to arrive too early for a home birth, I resolved to birth on my own terms, in my own way, with my chosen team. I aimed for a homebirth experience within a hospital setting. It required unconventional tools, meticulous planning, and deep conversations with my doula, husband, and doctor.

But, WE DID IT!

My greatest passion is coming alongside mothers, freeing them from the lies and fears held in their hearts, by teaching them that their bodies were designed beautifully and perfectly for their children. Understanding and believing this truth is the foundation for surrendering to birth, fearlessly, confidently, and autonomously.

"I don't care what kind of birth you have - a homebirth, scheduled cesarean, an epidural hospital birth or if you give birth alone in the woods next to a baby deer. I care that you had options, that you were supported in your choices and that you were respected."
